My husband and I went to Namaste India for our anniversary last night, and I thought this info might be useful your next visit to the 'Burgh or for someone else looking for veg food in the city o' steak-and-french-fry-salad. From 9 pm to 10 pm, all vegetarian dishes are half price. The prices are reasonable to begin with, so having arrive late, we could afford a really, really nice spread. Whoo-hoo! Plus, lotsa leftovers. Namaste India is at 3101 Banksville Road.

Hi Katherine. No - I haven't been to those places.
I didn't want to make my grandma go out of the way just to eat something. So before visiting, I made a list of a few vegan-friendly places for each area of town. That way whenever we were out and about, I could pull out my list and casually suggest something. It worked out pretty well.

And yes - my grandma is cool. Thanks!

I've lived near Pittsburgh almost a year now, and I am taking note of the places you ate! Have you been to Quiet Storm or Zenith Tea Room?

Your grandma looks cool!
