My roommate’s birthday was yesterday. I made her a 3-layer volcano cake. To do this, I made three separate cakes (one chocolate, one vanilla, and one mixed), then stacked them on top of each other.
After the cakes cooled, I covered them with chocolate icing, then dribbled green icing down the sides. Recycled agave nectar bottles are perfect for squirting icing.
And red sprinkles make perfect lava.
And plastic dinosaurs and spice girls from the dollar store make perfect volcano cake decorations.
I’m glad Kasia liked her cake!
